< i have been uninspired
fibrelicious
I am suffering from a serious inspiration block..when will it end. Uninspired in life, knitting and blogging.
Is it a summer slump, let's hope.
I have knit a bit, nothing exceptional

I just speed two wonderous day in knitting classes at the Gibsons Landing fiber Arts Fest.
Day one was modular knitting...As shown in picture below and also making a shawl with yarn over and increases. Oh My God...I have left my scarf days behind.
The instuctor Wendy Henderson, who is published and amazing, was such a good teacher.
that is her work in the picture. Now, many were fast little fingered and brained girls, but I plugged along and even at my less than speedy knitting, I learnt so much. I now look at a pattern and it is not a foreign language. I really makes you feel like you can move to the next level, what ever level you are at.
The second class was Fear of Finishing, we learn to do an I cord and a attached I cord for trim,a three needle bind of..And so much more. In my case it was more Fear of Moving On to New Things.
I was wiped out and my head is swimming with new info and reasons to buy new yarn. (of course)
Every one is a a different level so it is great because people were so helpful.
It was definitely a top ten in my life, I was suffering from scarf doldrums and questioning whether I should knit or not. I wish I had taken classes ages ago.
Of course the class was filled with charming and funny woman of all ages, we swapped emails and I am sure will be swapping knitting stories for a while down the road.

I have a display counter in the store but no one can ever see any thing because it is always covered in yarn and projects..This is Paton Mosaic..Which looks like camo and is super soft. I stick to scarves and such while at the store because I lose track of what I am doing..when those dreaded money spending customers come in to harass me..

< Ahhh Sunday...
fibrelicious
Today is Sunday...my susie homemaker day...
I have decided to organize my craft area and my ever growing yarn stash.
Whilst doing this I realized just how bad and desperate it has become.
CAN YOU RELATE TO THIS SIGNS YOU ARE OUT OF CONTROL:
1] I do not own a coffee table but a chest that doubles as a coffee table so I can stuff it full of yarn and my significant other thinks it is just a coffee table..
2] I aquire more and more "knitting bags"...Oh the $100.00 uber bag I bought with the million pockets, needle case is not enough..Every tote bag I see becomes another knitting bag...one can never have enough bags...right
3] My sudden love of baskets...round baskets, square baskets, covered baskets, little baskets, big baskets...I feel like I am in a Turkish Market..in some exotic country...no, it is just my bedroom.
4] The perfect shelving unit..."But dear this is perfect, just put it together and it will help me be organized"...I promise it will really help...till I stumble apon the next perfect solution.
5] Zip up laundry hampers...sneaky yes...cleverly disguised as innocent laungry hampers, can be placed in any corner...stuff with balls of yarn..
I spend my money on yarn...I don't own enough clothes to fill the hamper..
6] I do not need a sock drawer...I live on the West Coast...socks we don't need no stinking socks...great place for yarn.
7] Books and Magazines...look at my shelves and you would think I've never read a novel in my life, but ask for a back issue of Voque Knitting....I'm on it...like lightening fast...
8] The worst...not actually being able to part with your screwed up, messed up...nightmare experiements...they can be coasters..pot holders...yarn stash bags...one day I will connect every square I ever knitted in to a warm and fuzzy blanket to cover the entire world...honest I will....
Do you show any of this symptoms...
